White moonstone + gold hoops | Tailored Classic Everyday

A non-traditional, mid-sized hoop with a natural opalescent gemstone, round, white moonstones are bezel set in vermeil. A dignified pair of gemstone hoops, can be either casual or formal. Each natural moonstone pendant is 1/3″ (10mm) across and is linked with a 3/4 inch 14K gold fill (GF) loop. Ear wires are hypoallergenic lead-free, nickel-free 14K golf fill (GF). This design is also available in grey-green iridescent labradorite, jadeite green chalcedony, blood red carnelian, and brilliant blue chalcedony.

About the MOONSTONE

Called “moonstone,” its pearlescent, color-changing sheen looks like the stone has harnessed the light of the moon. Although also associated with clarity of mind, moonstones are best known for their connection to womanhood and to femininity. This includes fertility and the cyclical nature of change. Originally a gift to newly wedded couples because of its association with sensuality and fertility, it’s now a common gift for brides, for the same reason.

French designer René-Jules Lalique incorporated moonstones into his jewelry designs during the 1910s and 1920s), paving the way for moonstone jewelry today, and making every moonstone piece a historical reminder of the Art Nouveau period.

EARRING BACKS

Earrings have the choice of high quality, hinged lever back or simple French loop ear wires. Use the drop down menu to select your preference. Lever backs are great if you’re always losing your earrings, but all earrings with simple French loops from my shop arrive with clear rubber clutches to prevent them from loss, too. Lever backs offer an additional 1/2″ drop, compared to 1/4″ drop for French loops.
